KFC SEEKS BUCKETS OF CREATIVITY THIS MOTHER'S DAY

Winner Receives $5,000 Cash Prize, National Distribution for His/Her Card and Buckets of Relief for Mom; Amazing-Kids.org to Help Select Contest Finalists

LOUISVILLE, KY - Every year, families search for new ways to tell mom just how special she is. This Mother's Day, KFC is giving budding artists the chance to show-off their creative talents and win a great Mother's Day gift for their moms with "America's Favorite Mother's Day Card" Contest.

Beginning today, KFC is searching for the most original Mother's Day card, and kids, ages 6 to 11, are challenged to put crayon to paper and show and tell mom how much they appreciate everything she does and send-in their homemade designs to KFC. Entries will be judged on originality, creativity, design and message in cooperation with Amazing-Kids.org, a leading online resource aimed at inspiring creativity and excellence in children, and the top three cards will be posted online at www.KFC.com, where America will vote for the winner.

Once "America's Favorite" is decided via an online poll, the winning card will be revealed on www.KFC.com and made available as a free download, just in time for Mother's Day! The grand prize winning young artist also will receive a $5,000 cash prize. The mother of the grand prize winner will receive a "Relief Bucket" filled with spa items, certificates for house cleaning services, KFC gift checks and $500 cash, for a total value of $2,500 to help alleviate some stress in her busy life. The grand prize also includes a trip to New York City for the winning artist and a parent or legal guardian, where they will participate in media interviews. Two runners-up will each receive a $1,000 cash prize, and 12 semifinalists will each receive a $500 prize.

"All year long, moms turn to KFC to provide a hot, delicious meal for their families and we're proud to celebrate them for all their tireless efforts that often are taken for granted," says Scott Bergren, executive vice president of marketing, KFC. "This Mother's Day, KFC is making it easy for kids to give back to their moms, while helping them continue to pursue their creative interests."

It's in the Cards…
