KFC® SEARCHES FOR UNDISCOVERED CREATIVE TALENT

Chicken Experts Launch Advertising Contest with $100,000 Total Prize Pool Value
LOUISVILLE, KY - From singing frogs to a talking sock puppet, commercials captivate, intrigue, and entertain viewers nationwide daily. Now viewers with a creative flair can take part in the action and create the next hot commercial for the world's most popular chicken restaurant chain.
Today KFC® launches the first-ever "Sandwich Superstar" advertising contest. The object of the contest is to create a commercial script promoting one of KFC's sandwiches: Tender Roast®, Triple Crunch®, Triple Crunch® Zinger™, Original Recipe® and Honey BBQ. The grand prize winner receives $10,000, a home theater system and an all-expense paid trip to New York City to attend a recording session with Randy Quaid, voice of the animated Colonel.
"We know viewers across the country would love to create a commercial for national television," said Terry Davenport, KFC chief concept and marketing officer. "This contest gives them the opportunity to have a little fun and get recognized for their creative talent."
Prizes
One lucky participant will be named grand-prize winner. Five national finalists will be selected in honor of each KFC sandwich and receive a THX home theater system. Fifty-one state winners (including Washington D.C.) will receive a Nintendo 64 System and a CD player.
